I earned a B.S. in oceanography from Humboldt State University and a M.S. in marine science from Moss Landing Marine Laboratories. Currently I work full time as a Project Associate on the MLML proposal to further develop a working model of mercury cycling through the Bay-Delta watershed. I am also the “Mercury Lab” supervisor and oversee the analysis of total mercury and methyl mercury in sediments, water, and biota. My research interests include the processes controlling the distribution of mercury and methyl mercury in the San Francisco Bay-Delta system, seasonal changes in mercury and methyl mercury sediment concentrations in the Bay-Delta, and the production of methyl mercury in wetlands.
