I am a MLML graduate of the Chemical Oceanography Laboratory and now work as the Environmental Health and Safety Officer here at MLML. My interests have included the shipboard detection of trace metals using flow injection analytical methods with fluorescence and chemiluminescence detection. More recently, I just try to keep people from cutting their fingers off and poking their eyes out. It is my job to insure we have a safety training program and that students, staff and faculty are trained and aware of the safety measures needed to protect themselves and their coworkers in the lab, in the field and on remote deployment.
